What is snoring and sleep apnea?

Snoring and sleep apnea are signs that the airway is not functioning properly during sleep. When the muscles of the tongue, mouth, and throat relax too much, the airway can become partially blocked during sleep, causing the soft tissues in the mouth and throat to vibrate (snoring) or pause in breathing (sleep apnea) as the air passes through.

How can myofunctional therapy help?

Snoring and sleep apnea are signs that the muscles of the tongue, mouth and throat are too relaxed or not functioning properly. Myofunctional therapy improves muscle tone, breathing patterns, and airway support - helping you sleep more quietly and breathe more efficiently.
